Pokemon Fans Think They've Found A Reference To Ash And Pikachu In Legends: Z-A

With Pokemon Legends: Z-A officially out in the wild, loads of discoveries are being made, such as a shiny duplication method that has yet to be patched. Of course, there are loads of complaints as well, like about the map's size or lack of voice acting, but we'll focus on the positives for the time being.

In the latest discovery, a fan has found an homage to Ash Ketchum and Pikachu hanging around in the over-world.

Not only is a near 1:1 replica of Ash hanging around with a suspiciously high-level Pikachu, but meeting them leads to the side mission "The World's Greatest Pikachu," where you can take on the duo.

It's the exact kind of side mission that longtime fans of the anime have been dreaming about for eons — the ability to meet the character who likely inspired them to pick up the series in the first place!

Because it may come as a surprise, but as synonymous as Ash Ketchum and Pikachu are to Pokemon proper, the duo have never actually been in a mainline game. Sure, Ash has been in Pokemon Puzzle League, but that doesn't really count.
