Atlus Has Just Mentioned Persona 6 Again, Alongside Persona 1 And 2 Remakes

It's been over 3,300 days since the release of Persona 5 in Japan. On September 15 next year, it will have been 10 years. Of course, we've had Persona 5 Royal since then, alongside Persona 3 Reload and a host of other spin-offs, but the 3,300 days since the last mainline release and what will eventually be Persona 6 is by far the longest gap between games in the series.

For reference, there were three years between Persona and Persona 2, seven years between Persona 2 and Persona 3, only two between 3 and 4, and then eight between Persona 4 and Persona 5. It's been a while.

Although we know it exists, the wait has been excruciating. But the hints do keep coming. For the first time ever, in an official Atlus survey, the company has mentioned the game by its Persona 6 name, referencing potential Revelations: Persona and Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment remakes in the process.

Persona 6 is no secret. In 2021, the game was casually mentioned in an interview with the Persona team about its latest job openings, and in June, Persona series director Kazuhisa Wada said that "work is progressing well"...
