It looks like EA and DICE have listened to player feedback for new Battlefield 6 skins as it has announced today that it will be partnering with tactical clothing brand 5.11 for upcoming cosmetics. 5.11 is a global brand that produces clothing to "enhance the safety, accuracy, speed, and performance of tactical professionals and technical enthusiasts worldwide."
This is a pretty sizable difference from Call Of Duty's recent sponsorship deals, which included cosmetics from companies like Monster Energy. According to the press release, the partnership will include: "In-game cosmetics, co-branded merchandise and sweepstakes are set to roll out in the weeks following release."
This partnership announcement follows recent community discussion about the planned skins for Season 1 of Battlefield 6. Fans have been left feeling betrayed as early skins feature neon stripes and goofy-looking skeleton decals, which steps away from the promise of more "grounded" Battlefield cosmetics compared to the Santa Claus silliness in Battlefield 2042.
We might be in for a change with future cosmetics, however. 5.11 is a tactical clothing brand which supplies workwear and tactical gear worldwide. Just a brief glance at the website and there's no other color than grey, black or brown...
