Ghost of Tsushima is now Steam Deck verified, as Patch 8 on Steam brought various optimizations and bug fixes to Sony's critically-acclaimed game. Along with Steam Deck verification, Ghost of Tsushima split its single-player mode and the online multiplayer Legends mode, with the latter becoming a free DLC pack for those who already own the game.
Originally launched in July 2020, Ghost of Tsushima is considered Sony's last PS4 exclusive, as it arrived just months before the PS5 hit store shelves. Set in 13th-century Japan during the first Mongol invasion, Ghost of Tsushima tells the tale of Jin Sakai, a samurai on a mission to defend Tsushima Island from the Mongols by any means necessary. In August 2021, Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut was released on both the PS4 and PS5, with the latter console receiving features such as haptic feedback and faster load times. The Director's Cut added the single-player Iki Island expansion, which could be freely accessed after reaching the base game's second act.
