Up to this point, we know that creating a remake (especially one based on old-time classics) is walking a tightrope, since it deals with something that most players consider quite precious: nostalgia.

Some may prefer a high level of fidelity, whether for recreating feelings from the old days or simply because it’s their first time playing it, while others are welcoming big, modern changes to have a different experience from something familiar.

Whether the case is, one thing we know for sure: not every change (or level of faithfulness) is met with open arms from everyone, and the latest example of that comes from Halo: Campaign Evolved, the upcoming remake of the original Halo, which has already sparked discontent from a developer of the original game.

Original Halo Designer Isn’t Happy With Campaign Evolved
