In case you need yet another reason to feel old, the PlayStation 2 officially turned 25 years old, with October 26, 2025, marking 25 years to the day that the console first appeared on North American store shelves, lasting all the way until it was discontinued in 2013.
To help celebrate the occasion, the official PlayStation Twitter account highlighted the number of PS2 games you can play on PS5. That's well and good, but there's just one problem — there's not that many classics actually available.
Naturally, fans immediately took notice, many of which asked Sony — Drop more classics!
"Work on your classics output please," one gamer wrote. "There’s so many bangers we want to play."
While there are plans to bring Soulcalibur III to the program, the likes of Ratchet & Clank, Killzone, the first two God of War titles or SOCOM are available. "I'm once again asking for a Ratchet and Clank port. No streaming," a user wrote. We're right there with you.
Also, it doesn't help that the GTA Definitive Edition trilogy is being advertised, which arguably might be the worst way to play those classics. "How about you celebrate them? Give us more on premium, instead...
