Over the past few days, reports about a Matrix video game that almost got made under Kojima’s direction have popped up in the gaming media – and, of course, he saw all of it. So, naturally, the legendary creator couldn’t resist jumping in to tell his side of the story.
Kojima Finally Gives His Take On The Long-Rumored Matrix Game That Never Came To Life
Hideo Kojima shared his thoughts in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), saying that he was actually surprised that he almost created a Matrix game – since it seems that even he was not aware of the complete story.
“I was surprised to see on social media that the Wachowski sisters had ‘offered me a Matrix game project!’ back in 1999”, Kojima wrote. “In all these 26 years, no one ever told me such a conversation had taken place”.
