Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection Comes Under Fire For Missing "Basic Features" At Launch

Today marks the release of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, an impressive compilation of one of gaming's most iconic series. It should be cause for celebration, but unfortunately, many are feeling burned by Digital Eclipse as the studio only revealed last night that public and private lobbies would not be available at launch.

That means the only way to matchmake right now is via quick play, which pairs you with a completely random player. Not only does it mean that you can't play with friends online, but it's a huge hit to the tournament scene, turning several fans away from buying the collection until future updates, with some even outright cancelling their pre-orders.

"Most people who grew up on Mortal Kombat do not have the time to go to their friends' house frequently to play games cos they're 30-40 years old or more," YouTuber Mike Hollow argued. "They have responsibilities and dependents. Work and families. Please snap back to reality."
