Two Months After Launch, Metal Hear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Is Finally Fixed On PS5 Pro

Two months after its worldwide release, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has fixed the performance issues that have plagued the PlayStation 5 Pro version of the game. Sort of.

As first spotted by Push Square, the latest patch for the big-budget remake of Snake Eater, which brings Fox Hunt multiplayer mode to all players for free, has added "Performance" and "Quality" mode toggles for PS5 Pro gamers, a feature that was not present at launch as Pro players had access to just one option.

According to a user on the PS5 Pro subreddit, the patch has already gone a long way in making the game more playable. Factor in some other general bug fixes and stability improvements and the game should be a lot more in line with consumer expectations. Of course, we'll let the experts at Digital Foundry give the final word, but for now, it does seem like things have improved.

When Delta: Snake Eater did launch in August, things weren't exactly all sunshine and rainbows, largely thanks to Unreal Engine 5. Not only was the PS5 Pro version plagued by a number of issues, but so was the PC version.
