Helldivers 2 has been in a rough place lately. Arrowhead knows it, and they have a plan to fix it.

The game got a big update last week that, according to the patch notes, fixes over 200 bugs, alongside some weapon buffs.

Helldivers 2 has a lot of technical issues that need to be addressed, and earlier this month Arrowhead announced their intent to delay upcoming content updates so they can focus on diagnosing and fixing problems.

According to the game’s director, Mikael Eriksson, in a new Q&A video (via GameSpot), this most recent patch was just the first in a series of regular updates that players can expect to see over the coming months.

A New Patch Every Two Weeks

Eriksson states in the Q&A that, for the next few months, Helldivers 2 will be getting a new patch fixing technical issues every two weeks, with scheduled content updates expected to resume in December.

Arrowhead has stated previously that the reason why Helldivers 2 has gotten to its current state is “technical debt” resulting from its rapid growth from frequent content updates, which happened due to its unexpected success combined with its nature as a live service game.
