It's currently spooky season, which means people are dragging out their favorite horror games for a good ol' scare. Some people may be browsing storefronts such as Steam in search of an interesting creepy game to try for the first time, and if you'd asked me for my recommendations a few days ago, Condemned: Criminal Origins would have been pretty high on my list. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it anymore, but not because of some horrible gameplay mechanic or quality issue, but because you actually can't get it on Steam anymore — it's been delisted.
First reported by Twitter account Wario64, it appears as though Condemned: Criminal Origins has been delisted from both Steam and the Xbox storefront, though no particular reason has been given. Check out the game's Steam page, and you'll see a notice on the platform saying that the game is no longer available for purchase, and again, no explanation is given. You can likely find Steam codes for the game for sale elsewhere, but buying it from Steam is no longer an option.
