The Simpsons are in Fortnite now. You knew that already. It's been impossible to avoid, and it resulted in almost three million people flocking to Fortnite at the same time, its highest player count in months. What you may not have seen is that the crossover works both ways, and characters from Fortnite have also made it into the long-running animated show.
Even better, the Fortnite characters were at the center of The Simpsons' iconic couch gag, something I'm assuming has to be the longest-running bit in TV history by this point. Jonesy, Fishstick, and most of the other Fortnite characters found squatting on the 742 Evergreen Terrace sofa make it out alive, but Peely, unfortunately, does not.
The crossover was featured during the latest episode of The Simpsons, Bad Boys... For Life?, which aired on Sunday night. Perfectly aligned with the start of Fortnite's Simpsons-themed season, which, while obviously planned, is pretty impressive. Lining up something from a video game with a TV show is notoriously difficult, hence why, for the second season in a row, there still won't be a new Fallout game to play when new episodes of its adaptation are rolled out this December....
