Nintendo has released its first financial results that include information about the Switch 2, and the attach rate for Mario Kart World is staggering, with nearly everyone owning both.
Pack-in games are counted as sales, which means some of the best-selling titles of all time include Wii Sports. It helps if the pack-in game is tied to some unique element of the console, such as Duck Hunt, selling a ton due to bundles that came with the NES Zapper.
Mario Kart World wasn’t part of some Nintendo Switch 2 bundles, but that didn’t stop it from being a huge hit. Nintendo’s official financial results have confirmed that the Switch 2 sold 10.36 million consoles since launch, while Mario Kart World, a Switch 2 exclusive, sold 9.57 million units.
