Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection showed a lot of promise in the run-up to its launch. However, much of that went out the window when it was in our hands, and it was found that this retro collection is full of technical issues and lacks some basic features, like being able to play with friends online.
Now, Digital Eclipse is rolling out patches that address the technical issues with the games. In a blog post for the latest patch, Digital Eclipse says that new online play features will be with us in the "coming weeks", so we're still in for a bit of a wait.
"In the coming weeks, you will see an update that delivers Online Arcade, an online play mode that allows you to create public and private lobbies and enjoy the many different games in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection with your friends," the patch notes read.
The original wording we got when Legacy Kollection launched was that it would be with us "a few weeks" after launch. We still don't have a release date, but hopefully this means we're still working within the timeframe Digital Eclipse initially expected.
In the meantime, you can play online, but you...
