Two events are taking place in Pokémon Sword and Shield right now.

The first event going on in Pokémon Sword and Shield is meant to celebrate World Penguin Day (courtesy of GameSpot). Until April 25th, players will have the chance to run into Eiscue in Max Raid battles throughout the Wild Area, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra. Players will even have the chance of running into a Shiny version of the Pokémon in five-star Raids. While Eiscue is normally exclusive to Pokémon Shield, the Ice-type will appear in raids for both versions of the game.

Gamers will also have the chance to receive a free item for the next few days (also via GameSpot). Until April 26th, players can receive a Weakness Policy for free. To claim the item, gamers will have to go to the Mystery Gift option from the menu screen. They then select Get with Code / Password, and input the password WPF1NALSPC3. Whenever a Pokémon holding the Weakness Policy gets hit by an attack that they are weak against, their Attack and Special Attack stats are raised by two stages.

The next game set to release in the Pokémon franchise is New Pokémon Snap. New Pokémon Snap will release for the Nintendo Switch on April 30th. New Pokémon Snap takes players to the Lental region, where they will be able to take pictures of Pokémon in their natural habitats. Players will explore dense jungles, vast deserts, and more. Gamers will also come across a phenomenon that takes place in Lental called the Illumina Phenomenon. Players will team up with Professor Mirror and work to uncover the mystery of the Illumina Phenomenon, which can cause both Pokémon and plants to glow.

Pokémon Sword and Shield is available now for the Nintendo Switch. New Pokémon Snap will release for the system next week.
