November 7th, referred to by Mass Effect fans as N7 Day, has become an annual celebration of BioWare’s iconic RPG series.
Having said that, there hasn’t been all too much to celebrate in recent years when it comes to Mass Effect or BioWare in general.
Following the surprise reveal of a new Mass Effect game featuring members of the original trilogy a few years back at The Game Awards, it’s mostly been radio silence aside from a handful of updates. To be fair, BioWare was busy working on Dragon Age: The Veilguard at the time. That was released a year ago, however, and you’d assume by now that all systems are go for the new Mass Effect.
So while today’s N7 Day update from Mike Gamble, the Executive Producer of Mass Effect, is light on details, it does confirm one thing: the next Mass Effect game is still in development.
