BioShock 4's Narrative Lead Lands At CD Projekt Red After Being Laid Off

BioShock 4's former narrative lead Liz Albl has moved to CD Projekt Red. This comes after layoffs hit Cloud Chamber amidst BioShock 4's troubled development.

Liz Albl has joined CD Projekt Red during the development of two highly anticipated sequels: Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4. Both games appear to be progressing well, with CDPR having already shown off a tech demo of The Witcher 4 earlier this year.

As spotted by IGN, Albl was laid off after almost three years on BioShock, but is now working as a senior writer at CD Projekt Red. This means she is likely working on either Cyberpunk or The Witcher, although The Witcher is the one that is further ahead and launching first, so that seems likely.

We don't know what's going on behind the scenes with BioShock 4, but things are clearly not going well. BioShock 4 was announced in 2019, and six years later, there's nothing to show for it. All we know is that it's in development at Cloud Chamber, a 2K studio that was founded in 2019 to work on BioShock 4.
