Sales analysis firm Circana has released its gaming industry data for October 2025, and it turns out that EA's first-person shooter Battlefield 6 has claimed the crown this month (perhaps unsurprisingly).
According to Circana's Mat Piscatella on Bluesky, Battlefield 6 topped the multi-format chart for October. That's not too surprising for a game that crossed the seven million sales mark within its first week on sale.
As you might expect given its own strong sales performance, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is in second place, although that's not bad for a title that's only available across two platforms. Sony's Ghost of Yotei is in third, which is even more impressive given it's a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
Battlefield 6 also tops Circana's list of best-selling games on a year-to-date basis, although Pokemon and Ghost of Yotei can't topple NBA 2K26 and Monster Hunter Wilds, which are in second and third place on that list respectively.
It's at the top of the specific Xbox and PC charts as well, although it's been pipped to the post by NBA 2K26 on the PlayStation. Still, perhaps things will pick up on the PS5 for Battlefield 6 as the holiday season nears....
