Invincible's TV show might not have been able to get a proper Spider-Man crossover like we all dreamed, but Invincible VS has (mostly) made up for it with a cheeky Spidey easter egg.
If you were keeping a close eye on Invincible during its last season, then you no doubt heard all of the rumours that Mark was going to end up travelling the multiverse and have a team-up with Spider-Man. That might sound random, but it's because the same thing actually happened in a memorable crossover comic.
There were a lot of hints that Invincible's Amazon adaptation was going to do the same thing, so when the finale rolled around, we all expected to see the webslinger appear. That wasn't quite the case, though, as we instead got a Spider-Man knock-off called Agent Spider, who was at least voiced by Josh Keaton. Invincible VS continues that trend of Spider-Man nods, and its reference is even more on the nose.
