It's 2025, And One Person Somehow Just Bought A Physical Copy Of Spore

You all remember Spore, right? A game from the makers of The Sims that lets you create the most cursed creatures ever to roam around on two legs (or as many as you liked), take them throughout various stages of evolution, and eventually fly around the cosmos harvesting planets. It was a staple of many childhoods, despite it being far too ambitious for its time, and has a spot in my heart as a game I enjoyed growing up.

I'm not exactly rushing out to buy a physical copy of the game though, especially since it's available on Steam for extremely cheap, and even if I wanted to, I don't have a PC with a disc drive to even install the damn thing, never mind play it. However, there is one person out there who, last month, confidently strolled into a game store, found Spore sitting there on the shelf, and decided to pick it up for themselves.

Yes, according to video game sales data from analyst and Circana senior director Mat Piscatella (thanks PC Gamer), there was a single person in the entirety of the US who bought Spore last month, and I'm going to need whoever that is...
