As has been the case with most modern-day PlayStation exclusives, Stellar Blade launched on PS5 first and then found its way to PC at a later date. However, despite following that same strategy, Stellar Blade has found a much bigger following on PC than any other single-player PlayStation exclusive to have come before it.
Stellar Blade studio Shift Up shared a graphic (thanks, Genki) confirming its game is the best-selling PlayStation-exclusive launch IP in history. While the attached chart doesn't confirm how many copies Stellar Blade has sold in the five months since it was ported to PC, it does compare the game's 192,000 concurrent player peak to where other PlayStation ports have topped out on Steam.
It turns out no other single player experience PlayStation has ported to PC so far even comes close. Stellar Blade's 192,000 peak is almost 2.5x higher than the previous record holder, Ghost of Tsushima, which attracted 77,000 players all in one go when it launched on PC last year. 2018's God of War is right behind it with 73,000, with Marvel's Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us rounding out the top six....
