Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is currently running a victory lap at the moment, celebrating its whopping 12 different nominations at The Game Awards, as well as its massive haul of awards at the Golden Joysticks. Among those TGA nominations, Gustave actor Charlie Cox managed to grab himself one for Best Performance, alongside Verso and Maelle actors Ben Starr and Jennifer English respectively.
Given that the role of Gustave has been one of Cox's only roles in video games so far, he's understandably a little more humble about the whole thing, and recently warmed the hearts of every Clair Obscur fan on the planet by claiming that Gustave's motion capture actor — Maxence Cazorla - probably deserves the nomination more than he does. Cox also claimed that Gustave's performance in the game was "down to him" and that his voice was "just part of that process." Very wholesome stuff.
Understandably, being name-dropped by Daredevil sent a lot of eyes towards Cazorla, who appears to have been bombarded with appreciation ever since Cox said he was more deserving of the nomination than him. At least, that's what Cazorla himself seems to suggest, as he recently reached out to Clair Obscur fans on Twitter...
