Nintendo has just revealed that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be getting an update this week that will add a lot of new content to the game. However, unlike the Zelda spinoff's predecessor, you won't have to pay for it.
Hyrule Warriors studio Koei Tecmo shared the good news on its Japanese website, noting that Age of Imprisonment's 1.0.2 update will go live on November 27. Note that the studio refers to tomorrow's patch as the "first" free update, which might mean we're going to be getting even more free post-launch content.
There will be a lot for players to sink their teeth into, whether you're looking for a new challenge after finishing the game or just starting out on your Age of Imprisonment adventure. If you have finished the main story, new Battle Challenges and Hyrule Challenges will be available. Large-scale showdowns that will really test what you've learned over the course of the Tears of the Kingdom prequel.
Unlike Age of Calamity, this new Hyrule Warriors ties directly into the events of Tears of the Kingdom.
