Assassin's Creed Shadows comes to Nintendo Switch 2 next week. A third-party title of that size is going to eat up a lot of the storage on your new Nintendo console, but probably not as much as you might think.
The Switch 2 store page for Shadows now includes the game's file size, and the port clocks in at a rather beefy 62.8 GB. The Switch 2 only has 256 GB of internal storage, which means Shadows alone is going to need a little less than 25 percent of it, but it could have been a lot worse.
62.8 GB is significantly smaller than Shadows' file size on any other platform, meaning Ubisoft must have been working its magic all year long to get it down to a reasonable amount. The PS5 version of the latest Assassin's Creed games is 102.6 GB, moving on up we have the 115 GB PC version of the game, and right at the tippy top there's Shadows on Xbox, which needs a whopping 133.9 GB.
Pour one out for the Series S owners out there.
While reducing the size of Shadows as much as possible was a necessity for its Switch 2...
