Indie Horror Game Horses Banned from Steam With No Explanation | TechRaptor

Indie horror game Horses may be launching on PC next month, but it won't be appearing on Steam, and its developer Santa Ragione says it has no idea why the decision has been made.

As reported by IGNHorses will be launching on the Epic Store, GOG, and Itch.io, as well as the Humble Store, but it won't be releasing direct through Steam, with Santa Ragione's Pietro Righi Riva claiming that Valve banned the game "without detailed feedback".

Riva goes on to say that no "specific scenes or elements" were mentioned as part of Steam's Horses ban, and that Santa Ragione "repeatedly asked what triggered the ban and received no answer", as well as offering to change content deemed unfit for Steam, albeit "unsuccessfully".

Since Steam never told Riva and Santa Ragione why Horses was banned, the studio still has no idea why the game isn't launching on the platform, but Riva says it might be because of one specific scene. Minor spoilers follow for Horses.
