How many Atlus fans do you know who have mentioned the "inevitable" Metaphor: ReFantazio re-release since the game's October 2024 launch? I suppose the answer might be zero if you're not into Atlus, yourself. I can tell you from experience as a diehard veteran of Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and so much more that not a day goes by without somebody on the internet reminding the rest of the JRPG-loving web that "I'll just wait until then."

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. Persona 3 FES. Persona 3 Portable. Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology. I haven't even mentioned Etrian Odyssey yet, and I'm not even counting Persona 3 Reload or the upcoming Persona 4 Rewind, since those are full-blown remakes many years post-release.
