Dispatch Devs Have Finally Explained Who The Heck Mr Whiskey Actually Is

If you've played through Dispatch this year and wondered exactly what on Earth the orange cat mascot thing is, then you're not the only one. Throughout the game's first seven episodes, this cat has been a background character through it all, coffee mug in hand, and usually speaking with various random members of the SDN.

We later found out that his name is Mr Whiskey, and living up to his name, had a more front and center part in the game's finale, making lead character Robert Robertson a nice coffee laced with a healthy shot of whiskey. Despite this feline's appearance in almost every episode of the game, we don't know much about the person under the mask, and even what they actually are.

Thankfully, in an interview with Polygon, the creative team behind Dispatch has explained Mr Whiskey's origins and why he's seen around the SDN. Unfortunately, for all you theorists out there, Mr Whiskey isn't part of some grand scheme to continue the narrative of Dispatch into a second season, and is more of a cute little nod to the game that Dispatch used to be a long time ago.
