PlayStation has been giving PS Plus subscribers free games every month for over a decade, making almost 900 titles available to claim. It will take a bigger step than usual towards that 900 mark this December, as it will be giving subscribers five games instead of the usual three.
If you are subscribed to any tier of PS Plus, even the cheapest Essential option, then you are eligible to claim the service's monthly games each month. Essential's monthly hauls typically include three games. However, as revealed on the PlayStation Blog, subscribers will be getting five games next month to celebrate the holidays, with the still relatively new Lego Horizon Adventures headlining the December drop.
Lego Horizon Adventures was released at the end of 2024, putting Aloy on Nintendo Switch for the first time. A little different from most other Lego games since it wasn't developed by TT Games, if you missed it or skipped it at launch, you can claim it and keep it for free if you have Essential starting from December 2.
Games claimed through PS Plus Essential will become unplayable if your subscription lapses, but can be accessed again once you resubscribe.
