I think we can all agree that ARC Raiders is the moment right now in the multiplayer universe, since it has been pulling some seriously impressive numbers, like selling over 4 million copies so far and hitting more than 700,000 concurrent players across all platforms.
But it turns out we are not the only ones hopelessly addicted to Embark Studios’ brand-new extraction shooter, and even the creators of South Park (yeah, you read it right!) seem to have caught the Raiders fever.
A Surprising ARC Raiders Easter Egg on TV
If you watched the latest episode of South Park Season 28, which first aired on November 27, you probably were surprised to catch an unexpected gaming easter egg.
That’s because the episode, titled “Turkey Trot”, shows Tolkien Black playing ARC Raiders on Xbox (quite nonstop, I must add) across multiple scenes – representing, quite literally, every multiplayer player right now. You can check a few screenshots of the moment below:
Shortly after the episode aired, Ashley St. Germain, who leads marketing at Embark Studios, explained on LinkedIn how this unexpected collaboration came to life.
