Where Winds Meet is built very much like your typical MMORPG, but developer Everstone Studios has thrown in a few features to make it stand out amongst the crowd, one of the strangest being AI NPCs, which essentially function as chatbots that players can interact with. You can say pretty much anything to them, and they'll respond in all sorts of different ways, meaning you can progress in conversations however you see fit. Regardless of your opinion on AI, it's not really been done before on this sort of scale.
But, we all know that AI can be pretty temperamental at times, leading to certain outcomes that may not be totally what developers intend. Darth Vader dropping slurs in Fortnite is one such example, and Where Winds Meet has already served up some absolutely ridiculous conversation since release, such as one player convincing an NPC that they were pregnant with his unborn child.
