Earlier this month, we reported that marketing for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is significantly lagging behind Nintendo's other flagship Switch 2 releases, like Donkey Kong Bananza and Kirby Air Riders, with a distinct lack of social media presence, even on the console giant's own news app.
Granted, the series isn't exactly a heavy hitter when compared to the likes of Mario Kart and Pokémon, even being outsold in its entirety by just one Hollow Knight game, but with such slim advertising, it's hard to imagine Samus crawling out of that hole.
Yet, with the spotlight swung in the other direction, Metroid Prime 4 has defied the odds and shot up the eShop charts.
