We're on an Oblivion nostalgia fest right now. Oblivion Remastered brought us back to Cyrodiil, and even if the performance issues left you wanting, there's Skyblivion right around the corner. The latter is a fan-made remake of Oblivion, created as an expansion for Skyrim.
You'd be forgiven for thinking that Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil sounds like yet another remake of Oblivion, but that is not the case. Coming from the same team of fans who gave us Beyond Skyrim: Bruma, this expansion will let us explore Cyrodiil as it looked when Skyrim takes place, 200 years after the events of Oblivion.
As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, we now have a teaser trailer for this ambitious modding project, giving us our first look at Cyrodiil after all this time.
Bruma is already available to download and play through, and the next part of the Cyrodiil project is to do the same with Anvil. Here, we get a look at the story that the Dragonborn will be thrown into, also created by the fans behind this project. We're told that implementation of Anvil into Beyond Skyrim: Cyrodiil is "well underway", and there will be a gameplay showcase on December 6.
Definitely...
