Outward 2 might not be ready for release just yet, but developer Nine Dots Studio has announced sign-ups for a playtest in December 2025.
Outward 2 is an upcoming survival action RPG that heavily prioritizes player planning. It’s the sequel to Outward, a game that earned cult classic status due to its brutal difficulty and lack of hand-holding, with players gleefully throwing themselves into its meat grinder.
Outward 2 is set to enter early access in Summer 2026, but fans will get the chance to experience it ahead of time. A new trailer on the Nine Dots Studio YouTube channel has announced an Outward 2 playtest from December 9–15, with players able to sign up on a special registration site.
Outward 2’s Playtest Sends Fans To Haboob
