A new Mega Evolution has been announced for the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A - Mega Dimension DLC, and it's for none other than enduring mascot and Gen IV icon Lucario.

"But wait," I hear you cry. "Lucario already has a Mega Evolution, doesn't it?" You'd be right, but the newly-revealed form is Mega Lucario Z, so you can expect a brand new aesthetic for Lucario, plus likely some new moves and more.

This is the second new Mega Evolution form to be revealed for the game's upcoming DLC, which launches later this month; the first was a transformation for Electric-type Gen VII legendary Pokemon Zeraora.

Z Mega Evolution is a brand new mechanic that will be introduced as part of the upcoming DLC, and according to a news post on the official Pokemon website, it brings some changes to the way Pokemon work in combat with it as well.

Z Mega Evolved Pokemon will need less time to use their moves after their Trainer tells them to, but they'll lose their Mega Power more quickly, so you're better off using them for short engagements than for protracted fights.
