Red Barrels has been busy recently with The Outlast Trials.
Hot off four nominations at the Horror Game Award, including best developer and best lifetime achievement for J.T. Petty, they've also recently launched a new PVP mode.
They're showing no signs of slowing down, either. A few weeks ago, Red Barrels teased Season 5 for The Outlast Trials.
The tease promised a new Prime Asset, trial environments, MK-Challenges, and more. Today, they're delivering on that promise and officially announcing Project Messiah, set to release on December 9th.
Taking place in an alpine ski resort, Project Messiah will introduce Sister Liliya as the Prime Asset. She's a pagan priestess/ambush predator that loves to hide among the mannequins in her cultish compound.
According to a press release, the vibe is described as "Midsommar meets Hostel" and features a VIP action in which human lovers are being sold off, so maybe we can throw some Get Out in there as well?
