Dead Space was easily one of the best games to release back in 2023, a master remake of one of the best survival horror games of all time. It launched to critical success, lauded for its attempts to improve upon the original title, while also respecting it, and while it didn't sell as many copies as EA would have liked, it still managed to shift a couple of million units after being gone for almost a decade.
With all that in mind, you'd have thought EA could have pushed on to make a Dead Space 2 Remake, which is widely considered by many as a much better game, but EA apparently scrapped those plans before they could even get started. Last year, it was claimed by insider Jeff Grubb that plans were in place to start working on a remake of Dead Space 2, but low sales stopped them from continuing.
