Where Winds Meet's developers are clearly aware of some of the game's exploits, as it appears to have recently patched one that let you avoid bounties by going offline.

If you've been playing Where Winds Meet since it launched last month, then you're no doubt aware (and likely not a fan) of its crime and bounty system. If you commit a crime and become wanted, there are various different ways you can be dealt with, including having other real-world players hunting you down for the bounty on your head.

Considering how seriously some players take Where Winds Meet, having a bounty on your head can be pretty annoying, which has led to some players just cheekily quitting the game, going offline, and hoping that the bounty disappears by the time they log back in. It seems that developer Everstone Studios has caught onto that little trick, though.
