Escape From Tarkov is finally out after about eight years in Early Access, but it seems that the surprises for players haven't totally ended just yet!

In fact, Battlestate Games Studio Head and Director Nikita Buyanov decided to kick off the weekend by giving the community a special bundle – that ended up being a hilarious prank on players.

High-Tier Loot Teased For A Special Promo

Tarkov players woke up last Sunday to a genuine surprise when Buyanov teased a “special promo” on his X account (formerly Twitter), accompanied by an image showing some seriously top-tier, rare gear.

We are talking about THICC cases, an Altyn helmet, a FLIR optic, and piles of gleaming Bitcoins – so, naturally, everyone’s attention was caught by that unexpected, supposedly upcoming offer.

However, shortly after the mysterious tease, Buyanov revealed that it was actually a brilliant and hilarious prank. He retweeted himself, confirming that the code in question was titled “PAY2WIN”, which made everyone suspect that something was wrong.
