Brown Dust 2, a "Full Burst RPG," has been removed from Steam a couple of weeks before its intended release date on the platform (nice spot, Automaton). Brown Dust 2 is a sexualised gacha game from developer Neowiz, a South Korean publisher best-known for publishing Round 8's Lies of P.
Neowiz has confirmed that Brown Dust 2 will no longer release on Steam, and the publisher is exploring other platforms for a potential release. Brown Dust 2 is currently available as a direct download from the game's official site, but Neowiz was eagerly preparing for a Steam release and the RPG had accumulated 200,000 wishlists since its store page went live.
"First of all, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been looking forward to our Steam release. We have been preparing for a Steam launch for a long time, but during coordination with the platform's policy requirements, we encountered an issue that cannot be reasonably resolved with the current version of the game. After extensive internal discussion, we have decided not to proceed with a Steam release," reads the announcement.
