Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP developer Capybara Games has announced Find Your Words, a short, free adventure game about trying to communicate without speech.
Announced during today's Wholesome Snack presentation, the game doesn't have a release date yet; it's set to arrive on Steam sometime next year, and when it does, it'll be entirely free, although there will be an "optional supporter edition" you can buy if you want to support the studio.
In Find Your Words, Capybara Games is promising "scenic campgrounds brimming with wildlife" in which you'll "build a community one friendship at a time" through several "interactions and activities" with folks currently hanging out at the campground.
Co-creators Vic Nguyen and Jon Maur say that Find Your Words was inspired by raising "non-speaking kids", which is why the game's main character doesn't communicate through speech; instead, they'll use a system of symbols discovered around the game's world to help them speak to others.
Combining symbols in different ways will give them "unique meanings", Capybara Games says, and you'll need to combine those symbols in certain ways in order to get your message across to those who communicate with more conventional...
