The era of charmingly janky PS2 tie-ins with fuzzy approximations of your favourite actors has long since passed, but maybe VR can pick up the low-poly torch. Amazon, in partnership with Arvore Immersive Games and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality, has announced The Boys' very first game, Trigger Warning, and Butcher looks like an old Sims model, just without the plumbob over his head.
It's hideous in all the best ways, alluding to the era of quick cash-ins on viral movies and TV shows. Granted, some do hold up (looking at you, Buffy: Chaos Bleeds), but whether this weird mash-up of BioShock and The Boys will stick the landing is another question entirely. Thankfully, at £18.99, it's at least cheap.
Launching in early 2026, The Boys: Trigger Warning brings back some of the star-studded cast from the Prime Video series, including Jensen Ackles and Laz Alonso, while you're placed into the blood-soaked boots of original character Lucas Costa.
