Larian shot into the mainstream with Baldur's Gate 3, but the studio has been around since 1996. Before securing the rights to give us a long-awaited Baldur's Gate sequel, Larian worked on its own series, Divinity, releasing six games in the series.
Now, it looks like Larian is poised to reveal a return to the Divinity series, although not in the way that we would expect. Following speculation that Divinity: Original Sin 3 would be revealed at The Game Awards, Larian has now come forward and said that this is not the case... but the wording only excludes another Divinity: Original Sin game, not a new Divinity altogether.
This all goes back to that picture of a statue that Geoff Keighley shared, hinting at one of the announcements at The Game Awards this week. There were a bunch of guesses, like The Elder Scrolls and God of War, but some of us got a very Divinity vibe from it. Especially from the damn crocodile, considering many of us got demolished by them in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
