Four. That's how many wins Disco Elysium notched six years ago, at The Game Awards 2019. To the uninitiated, that might not sound like much; in truth, vanishingly few video games have pulled off anything of the sort. Think of the fierce competition. Consider the diverse awards categories, and thus, the unlikelihood that individual titles would even qualify for so many nominations.

And look up at the smiling face of one Harrier Du Bois. He knows his story achieved something truly incredible. Nothing's topped Disco Elysium for indie TGA domination.

We crunched the numbers on all of the past winners at The Game Awards, and here are 10 things we bet you didn't know.

Let's go over the list, shall we? First, it won the biggest thing it was eligible for: Best Independent Game. Competition included Baba Is You; Katana Zero; Outer Wilds (!); and Untitled Goose Game. Songs are still sung for at least three of those all these years later, Outer Wilds most of all.
