It Seems Like Hi-Fi Rush's Long Awaited Physical Release Is Almost Here

Hi-Fi Rush's fate as a video game is hanging in the balance. Sure, there are no signs that it's going anywhere right now, but its status as a digital-only video game puts it in a more precarious position than others. Throw in the fact that it relies heavily on licensed music, and that its soundtrack was briefly delisted earlier this year, and you have a game that could potentially be lost to time like so many others have been in the past. If only we had a physical edition, right?

Well, one of those was supposed to be happening. Cast your mind all the way back to when Hi-Fi Rush's PS5 port was announced, it was also confirmed at the time that the game would be getting a physical release. Unfortunately, Xbox decided that it would do something super smart and shut down Tango Gameworks (arguably its most talented developer), which was eventually saved by Krafton. Understandably, a physical version of Hi-Fi Rush was the last thing on people's minds during all that turmoil.

Thankfully, the fine folks at Tango haven't forgotten about that almost two-year-old promise, and it seems like something might be revealed...
