Despite being a series predominantly designed for kids, Pokemon has some horrors. There's Drifloon, a balloon-like Pokemon that leads children to their deaths, Spiritomb, a Pokemon comprised of 108 spirits that have committed heinous acts, and Blacephalon, which explodes its own head to kill its prey.
While many Pokemon have horrifying Pokedex entries, though, they don't all look too scary. Drifloon literally looks like a balloon, Blacephalon looks like a clown, and Spiritomb, well, Spiritomb looks like whatever it looks like. Maybe that makes them worse, that they're all pretty unassuming but are capable of awful things, but they certainly don't look too threatening.

One of the new Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Legends: Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC flips that theory on its head. While Mega Darkrai is still capable of doing some pretty dastardly things, blocking out the sun and plunging worlds into darkness, it drops the unassuming persona that some of the aforementioned Pokemon have, and just becomes a full-on eldritch horror.
