The Game Awards are upon us, and present a perfect time to reflect on the games that were released in 2025.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leads the way in nominations, with a record-breaking 13. Clair is followed up by Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei, which both received seven, and then Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hades 2, which received six.

This win represents Nintendo's 23rd Game Award since 2014 and its first since 2023, after not winning a single award at last year's show.
This is id Software's 3rd ever Game Award. The company last won back in 2016 when DOOM scooped up two awards — Best Music/Sound Design and Best Action Game.
