The Next Tomb Raider Has Finally Been Revealed

It's been a very long wait, but Crystal Dynamics' next big Tomb Raider game has finally been properly revealed at The Game Awards 2025.

Although Tomb Raider fans have had plenty to keep them occupied over the last few years thanks to two great remasters of six classic Lara Croft games, that hasn't quite been enough. We've not had a proper mainline release in the series since Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which was all the way back in 2018. That's right, it's nearly been a whole decade.

What's even stranger about Tomb Raider's disappearance this console generation is that we know a new game is in the works and has been for some time now. That long wait was finally confirmed to be coming to an end earlier this week, when it was announced that the future of Tomb Raider would be revealed at The Game Awards.

Without a doubt, one (or rather, two) of the biggest announcements during The Game Awards was about the long-awaited next Tomb Raider game. It's called Tomb Raider: Catalyst, and it's coming in 2027, which was actually leaked just a few hours ago before the show.
