Way back in 2021, Yakuza fans will remember that the series lost its creator, Toshihiro Nagoshi. It was a pretty rough time for fans of the franchise at the time, though a sliver of hope was revealed when Nagoshi announced that he would be creating his own studio. That opened up back in 2021, and ever since, we haven't heard much about what he's been working on.
However, it seems as though Nagoshi is now ready to show off his work. At The Game Awards earlier today, Nagoshi revealed his new title Gang of Dragon, which appears to take place in Kamurocho.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see many details about the game, apart from what the game's main character looks like, who is played by Korean actor Ma Dong-seok. The trailer starts off with him getting stabbed, so it doesn't look like Nagoshi is going for a more light-hearted story like we've seen from the Yakuza series.
With the original version being delisted and changes being made to the narrative, fans are thrilled with this updated take on Yakuza 0.
