Xbox didn't have much presence at this year's The Game Awards, but in the middle of the ceremony, it did unveil a nifty little Game Pass ad following a janitor as they wandered through a laybyrinthe of grimy tunnels, each filled with doorways leading to various different games. But what's interesting about this clip is that two series shared a single entrance: Grounded and Fallout.
Grounded is Obsidian's answer to 'What would Honey, I Shrunk The Kids look like if it were spliced with The Forest?', a charming survival gem full of monstrously huge spiders that has quickly become a modern classic. Notably, Obsidian also developed Fallout: New Vegas, and the studio was born from the ashes of Black Isle, the creators of the original Fallout games.
Considering this, u/jdixon76 suggested that pairing the two games on a single doorway could be a vague tease that Obsidian is developing a new Fallout game. After all, with Bethesda wrapping up Starfield and shifting its focus to The Elder Scrolls 6, it'll be a long time before we see Fallout 5, and what better way to reignite interest and capture the hype of the Prime Video series than with a new game?...
