The Game Awards have just wrapped up, and to no surprise, it's a sweep for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Breaking a record previously held by Baldur's Gate 3 and The Last of Us Part 2, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won nine awards at The Game Awards. The last record was seven wins, so it's a comfortable lead for Clair Obscur.

It was widely assumed that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 would win big. It already broke the record for the most nominations received in a single year, with 12 nominations. That included three nominations in the Best Performer category, which was won by Jennifer English.
However, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 fell just short of winning everything it was up for. It lost out in Best Audio Design and Players' Voice. The latter was somehow won by Wuthering Waves, which also beat Silksong and Dispatch.
With that said, it did pull off this feat at the Golden Joystick Awards. Here, it swept the show and took home every award it could in the running for, meaning that other fan favourites, like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, lost out.
